The beauty industry in the United Kingdom has not mirrored the economic downturn generally and beauticians have been very busy with work.
Charlotte Pegman, Managing Partner of Hubbard Pegman and Whitney, has been surprised to see the increase in enquiries about beauty treatment injuries which have in some circumstances been caused by a mistake of the beautician for example spilling wax, failure to carry out a patch test, using faulty equipment and sometimes just careless human error.
Allergies often play a huge part in these sort of injuries and if skin patch tests are not carried out in good time before a treatment is performed then this can have problems and cause injuries.
There has also been an increase in the number of beauty therapists practicing who are unqualified and this has meant that some individuals have been left with scars and embarrassing rashes as a result of the negligence at the hands of the beauty therapist.
Hubbard Pegman and Whitney have experience in beauty treatment injury and have a proven track record of getting swift results for injured people. Sometimes these issues can be sensitive and we are very alert to this issue.
